Historic charm and year-round comfort
Ca’ Angeletto is located in the upper historic centre of Terracina, on the second floor of a historic palazzo dating back to the time of the Papal States. It preserves high ceilings, wooden beams, terracotta floors and thick stone walls, which keep the rooms pleasantly cool in summer and warm in winter.
The heart of the house
The entrance opens onto a large single living space combining the sitting area, dining area and kitchen. It is a spacious, harmonious and welcoming room, enriched by a beautiful exposed-stone section above the dining table. The kitchen is linear and well organised, with dishwasher, oven, induction hob and an additional work surface above the unit containing the fridge. The corridor also features a mural by the local artist Robof Studio.
Main bedroom
The main bedroom is spacious and bright, with air conditioning for heating, cooling and dehumidifying. Natural ventilation runs through the house, with views towards both the sea and the hills. Depending on the season, the window offers sunsets over the sea or behind Monte Circeo. The room is furnished with an open wardrobe, two original early-twentieth-century Art Nouveau armchairs, antique Japanese prints and an oil painting by Moretti.
Library
The second room has a wider-than-single daybed with a real mattress, and a second pull-out single bed underneath. It can be used with two separate beds or as a very wide combined sleeping arrangement. The room also includes a handcrafted bookcase made from antique wood, part of the library available to guests, a small writing desk, an additional bookcase and an open wardrobe.
In the heart of the old town
The location is one of Ca’ Angeletto’s great privileges. The apartment overlooks the street that crosses the old town and leads in just a few steps to the Foro Emiliano, still today the civic heart of the historic centre. Around this square stand the Cathedral, built on the site of the ancient Roman temple, the Town Hall and the Roman theatre, recently brought back to light and restored, now once again accessible and used for cultural events.
The sea and Jupiter Anxur
The nearest beach can be reached with a pleasant walk through the historic centre, at the foot of the Monte Sant’Angelo promontory. At its summit are the remains of the sanctuary of Jupiter Anxur, a tangible witness to Terracina’s very long history, whose origins predate Rome.
Terracina brings together sea and inland traditions and offers a broad gastronomic culture, with a cuisine that is rich and varied, both from land and sea.
About me
I am a pediatrician, born and raised in Rome and now living in Zurich. The building in which Ca’ Angeletto is located has belonged to my family for many generations and was gradually divided into several apartments over time. In 2024 I took over this house, fulfilling the wish to have a place in Italy where I could return with my family to enjoy the sea, the history of Terracina and its culinary tradition.
I personally followed the renovation project together with a dear friend who is an architect, taking care over every choice of quality, materials and details, with the idea of first creating the ideal place for my own stays in Italy. Every room therefore reflects an authentic relationship with the house.
Since 2026 every detail has been completed, and I have decided to rent it out during the periods when I do not use it myself, in order to share with other guests the pleasure of staying in an apartment conceived and lived in as a real home.
